Company Beneens in Olen were heated with renewable energy!
Office buildings, workshops and processes of the construction company Beneens in Olen were heated with renewable energy during last winter months. Instead of using fossil fuels the company uses waste wood of their own processes and other companies to heat the different buildings and drying/painting cabinets.
The waste wood boiler delivered heat for the high temperature circuit and a heat to power installation (ORC) to produce electricity. The waste heat of the ORC is recuperated and used for low temperature heat users. From April 2017 till March 2018 the waste wood boiler delivered about 3000 MWh/year for both meeting the heat demand and for the power to heat installation. In the picture below the montly head production is shown.
