First STORY presentation in Austria at the 14th Symposium on Energy Innovation

Johanna Pucker and Heribert Vallant (JOANNEUM RESEARCH) presented STORY at the 14th Symposium on Energy Innovation in Austria. It was the first time the Horizon 2020 project STORY was presented in Austria. Johanna Pucker presented the main objectives of STORY and gave a short overview on the demonstration cases. Heribert Vallant described the supporting role of ICT within the project and explained the main features of the STORY gateway.
The 14th Symposium on Energy Innovation (http://www.tugraz.at/events/eninnov2016/home/) was entitled “Energy for our Europe” and took place from 10. – 12.02.2016 in Graz. The conference was hosted by the Institute of Electricity Economics and Energy Innovation of the Graz University of Technology.
Approximately 700 people from research, energy & infrastructure sector, economy, industry and government followed with great interest current research activities, which were presented by 200 lectures from Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Two conference sessions dealt with energy storage. The interest in these sessions was high, indicating the important role energy storage systems will play in a future energy system with a high share of fluctuating renewables.
