Second Advisory Board Meeting
On the 27th and the 28th of April 2017, the STORY project hosted its second Advisory Board Meeting.
20 STORY Advisory Board Members from across Europe convened in Leuven to engage with the STORY project team, representing critical players from across the energy value chain (production, utilities, consumers (industrial and residential), regulators, and finance). The STORY Advisory Board ensures that these players are able to clearly articulate their interests and needs for energy storage and help guide STORY in addressing challenges and hurdles around adoption.
The second meeting focused on getting inputs and guidance on the ongoing work within STORY, in particular on the STORY demonstration sites, on the analyses on business preconditions (business models, policy & regulatory frameworks), and on dissemination (how STORY can target audiences with key messages). In addition, the Meeting featured a keynote presentation from Mr. Ivan Pearson of DG Energy on the Winter Package, leading into a facilitated discussion with and between the Advisory Board Members on customer aspects. By dissecting several articles of the Winter Package following this exchange, this will allow STORY to provide input to the BRIDGE Customer Engagement Working Group.
The meeting was also combined with a field trip to the STORY industrial demo site in Olen. Overall, the meeting was rated positively: out of 14 respondents to the evaluation sheet, 3 gave a 5/5 rating, and 11 a 4/5 rating.
